DIRECTIONALS

Everyday on my way out the door I try to thank God for whatever is ahead of me.

Ususally when on the road, I look to see "the first words of the day".

Most of the time they are on the back of the truck traveling along the highway, or on a billboard that catches my eye.

Somehow , I feel applying the first words of the day to my routine will help me get focused.

Today, this is what leads me to the trail ahead:

Be KIND
Be CAREFUL
Be YOURSELF.

Seen on the back of a KANE transport truck.
Then, as soon as it registered in my mind, another Kane truck rolled by for me to see the writing on the side.
Which read: KANE is able!
Roll with it.

TODAY'S WORD from Joel and Victoria
So often when difficulties come, people tend to feel overwhelmed, unequipped, or outnumbered. They shrink back or look for an easy way out or a place to hide. But that’s not God´s best for us. He never intended for us to be consumed by our challenges; He intends for us to overcome our challenges!
If you’re facing a difficulty today, it´s time to dig your heels in, stand strong, and show the enemy what you´re made of! Remember, you aren´t alone in the fight; God is with you. He´s promised to never leave you nor forsake you. Just like the scripture says, if God is for you who can be against you? Friend, you and God are a majority. There´s no weapon, no enemy, no challenge, no disease, no failure, there´s nothing that can overtake you when God is on your side!I encourage you today; choose an attitude of faith and victory. Keep declaring His promises over your life. Be bold and stand strong because God promises that He has victory in store for the upright. As you keep that attitude of faith, you´ll rise above those difficulties and walk in the freedom He´s prepared for you!
A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your faithfulness to me. Thank You for equipping me and filling me with Your joy, strength, and boldness. I choose to trust You, to stand on Your Word and look for the victory You have in store for me. In Jesus´ Name. Amen.
Went back and read the text message from yesterday.

I suppose what accomplishment that should be made by now is being organized!

Congrats to all my children/grandchildren( family) for their wonderful accomplishments of late.

Thanks to you too, Dad for all your encouragement!

Just keep on living.
-Uncle John

Ubiquitous

Somehow, this week has become an extention of last weeks challenges.
I thought last week was over with all the emotional dealings, decisions and wasteful energy.
But somehow, the lost paperwork syndrome seems to occur in more than one place at a time.
Last fall, my son worked an absolute wonder with a kitchen timer and various piles of 'Stuff" of mine, which I have accumulated in my 54 years of collecting.
Fifteen minutes to sort, find a home or make a garbage pile.
When the buzzer goes off... the time is up!
He is back at school now.
For some reason, I can't seem to organize as well as he does.
So, I hired someone to help me organize .
Yup, it came to that.
But this week I can' t seem to find the papers I need.
But as the word for the day says, UBIQUITOUS.
And I will go home and be in more than one place at a time and find those papers!
Organization.
...oh well.

I woke up to a text from my son this morning which really made me think.
It read:
Halfway thru the year.
My other son's blog talks about his accomplishments completed in the last months.
My daughter is in the midst of her metamorphosis.
So I am wondering where I am?
What accomplishments have I made this year?
At one time I could say I had walked my way back to my ideal weight.
But at 54 years old, nobody needs to (still) look like a cheerleader;
especially with a rooster neck that comes with age!
I am financially secure.
I have friends/a support/family.
I don't need to make any apologies to anyone to date.
But what am I supposed to be accomplishing right now?
Let me go back and read that text one more time.
So I can try to understand what it means to be half way thru the year.
If I am not where I am supposed to be, at least I know when I get there, (and I will get there)
I have the Victory in Jesus Christ!
Be patient I say.
It's coming.
Whatever it is.

Oh guess what?
The Word for today is Victory.
WE HAVE THE VICTORY!
- compliments of God

Good Monday morning

Hi folks,
I trust you had a great weekend and if you think you didn't stop and reconcur.
You are reading my blog which means you are alive and well...
I had to think about that myself today.
The weekend threw many challanges my way, however today is June 1st.
It is not only a new beginning it is a new month.
It is almost a new season.
There becomes a new revelation with each positive thought, leading you to a new path and a new idea and the next thing you know all is good, (again).
So today I am THANKFUL.
For many things.
For my family I love so much, my friends, my relationship with GOD... which brings me back to being thankful.
I am even thankful for getting edgy with my daughter this weekend.
Oh! How much I love her!
(She is quite patient with me in her old age).
So be thankful for everything.
Good ,bad, indifferent.
I am thankful for you in some wonderful way.
